Antigua Weather

Antigua enjoys a tropical climate, with nearly constant Northeast trade winds and low humidity year-round. Temperatures are generally in the mid- to upper- seventies (°F) in winter, and mid- to upper- eighties in summer. Weather reports will often call for rain on the island, but this is usually a cloud passing over the island - Antigua is one of the sunniest and driest islands in the Caribbean.

Hurricane season runs from June through November. The most likely week for a hurricane to hit is in the middle of September, but there have only been six direct hits to the island in the last 50 years. Although it is unlikely that a hurricane will strike while you're on island, we do recommend travel insurance to protect your vacation.
