St.Croix


St. Croix is the largest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands, at 28 miles long and 7 miles wide. The island has a diverse terrain ranging from lush rain forests in the western mountains to dry, rocky red cliffs on the eastern end. The culture is equally diverse, as the country has flown 7 different flags in its brief history. There is plenty to see and do on this beautiful island, from water sports and horseback rides to touring the island's rum distillery or betting on crab races. Come see what St. Croix has to offer!

Currency
The American dollar is used throughout the Virgin Islands, including St. Croix, but foreign currency can be exchanged at all major bank branches on the island.

Entry Requirements
Entry requirements vary for each destination; it is your responsibility to verify you have the correct documents prior to travel. After 31 December 2006 a valid passport is required for travel to the Caribbean and Mexico.

Time Zone
St. Croix USVI lies within Atlantic Standard Time, four hours behind Greenwich Mean Time.

Driving
Cars drive on the left-hand side of the road on St. Croix USVI (like England), while steering wheels will often be on the left (as in North America).

Voltage
Outlets on St. Croix USVI use the same voltage as the mainland US, 110 volts.

Language
English is the official language.
