Virgin Gorda Airport Information
Virgin Gorda does not have a major airport, but there is a small airport serviced by some smaller airlines operating flight from Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. Many travelers choose to fly into Tortola's Terrence B Lettsome International Airport (EIS), usually referred to as Beef Island airport, then take the nearby North Sound Express ferry to Virgin Gorda (Spanish Town or North Sound). Every person entering the British Virgin Islands should be in possession of a valid passport and a return ticket. Until December 31, 2006 citizens of the US and Canada can be admitted without passport, but will need photo ID and an original birth certificate.
There is a $5 per person departure tax for guests departing by ferry. The departure tax is $10 per person leaving by air.
