Description
Goyaba has been designed with natural integration and maximum coolness in mind relying on traditional Caribbean villa layout and building techniques. Authenticity, natural beauty and ease of life have been at the center of its owners' vision when they created Goyaba and landscaped its large front and back gardens.
Walking bare feet to the beach on a thick carpet of grass surrounded by tropical trees... smelling the fragrance of jasmine while relaxing on the front verandah... watching hummingbirds from the shadowy back verandah on a hot afternoon... enjoying in every room the luxury of authentic Caribbean furniture... these are some of the genuine pleasures that Goyaba offers to its guests.
In one side of the house 2 bedrooms (1 with master bed and 1 with 2 single beds) with an interconnecting bathroom. In the other side 1 bedroom (1 master bed) and 1 bathroom. In the middle a large kitchen-dining room and 1 office with a sofa. On the large verandah an additional outside dining and living area (dining table; sofas, arm-chaires). All the rooms open on a large west facing verandah overlooking Hillsborough Bay and the nearby islands.
At the back of the house, an afternoon verandah provides coolness in the hottest hours of day and is perfect for an afternoon nap. The well equipped kitchen has a stove, fridge/freezer and all you need to cater for 8 persons. The house is furnished in genuine mahogany.
Carriacou is the largest of the Grenadines in Grenada territory. It is seven miles long and three miles wide at the broadest point. The island is irregular in shape with a ridge running the length of it averaging 750 feet in height with the highest point, a hill at the northern end called High North, reaching 850 feet above sea level.
To get to Carriacou, you have to fly to Grenada (LIAT, Caribbean Star, American Eagle, Air Jamaica, Condor, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Excel Airways and others). From Grenada, you can take a small plane (SVGAIR : 20 min) or a speed boat (Osprey express : 90 min).
