Description
Sitting serenely above the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, the revival of the Mount Edgecombe historic plantation house and Estate heralds a new dawn for what is one of Grenada’s oldest plantations.
Built by Lord Edgecombe of Devon, Englad in the late 1700’s in a perfect, sheltered yet elevated position overlooking the Caribbean. Peter de Savary, purchased Mount Edgecombe in 2006 and has since gone about restoring the house, estate and gardens to become a perfect family home for holidays.
Luxuriously decorated with comfort in mind, the Plantation is approached by a mile-long, private paved road from the coast road.
The main house is beautifully appointed using traditional antique furniture and works of art. The wide covered verandah is comfortably furnished and the views, one of the highlights of this historic estate. There are four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms all fully air-conditioned.
A separate long-house offers a further two plantation-style bedroom suites. The Great Room and Verandah provide some of the most desirable entertaining space with two separate infinity pools overlooking the estate and Caribbean.
A cook and housekeeper are supplied with the house.
