Southern Cross

Hillside, Palm Island, Grenada
2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms
Maximum Occupancy: 4

Description
Palm Island lies on its own 135-acre island in The Grenadines, that chain of exclusive little islands that runs between St. Vincent in the north and Grenada in the south. It is reached via a 45-minute flight from Barbados to neighbouring Union Island, followed by an 8-minute ride by private launch.

Great care has been taken to ensure the resort blends in with these untouched natural surroundings. Activities are low-key and generally focused upon the sand and the sea, while dining is always a breeze-cooled beachfront affair, the delicious Euro-Caribbean cuisine taking full advantage of freshly-caught seafood and locally-grown vegetables.

Yet Palm Island is not just a resort. It’s a place where guests slow down, recharge their batteries and gradually rediscover the wonders of nature. Panoramic walking trails show off indigenous iguanas and interesting birdlife. Visiting yachts and traditional beach homes contribute a sense of authentic island life. And boat trips to the world-famous Tobago Cays ensure visitors leave with a great ‘sense of place’.

Accommodations:
This fabulous Villa really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. The Villa's kitchen includes limited food, beverages and spirits, lightly stocked soft drinks, beers, two bottles of champagne plus cereal, coffee & tea, fruit and snacks to start the day. Ocean views and is very secluded as perched on a paroramic bluff on the eastern tip of the island. Four timber decks for your relaxation and to indulge in all the fabulous veiws. Tiled dinning terrace, patio and its very own 10ft x 20ft infinity edge swimming pool. Each of the two bedrooms feature in suite marble bathrooms with a spacious step in showers with ocean views. This Villa is available for 4 adults as no children are allowed.

Dining:
On Palm Island, all meals and drinks (by the glass) are included in stays. The elegant ‘Royal Palm’ restaurant sits right on the white sands, every meal accompanied by ocean views and sea breezes. Days can begin with seasonal fruits and freshly-baked croissants, or maybe banana pancakes, ‘Eggs Benedict’ or a made-to-order omelette.

The extensive lunch menu showcases anything from exotic salads and tasty pizzas to fresh pastas and local specialities such as Caribbean Jerk chicken. Or for a special occasion why not order a picnic lunch and enjoy it in romantic seclusion on one of our Atlantic beaches?

After dark, the mood becomes decidedly elegant. Most guests meet for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the intimate beachfront bar, perhaps trying a rum punch before moving through to the restaurant. Dining is by lamplight, the a la carte menu featuring a wide range of choices that fuse international tastes with fresh Caribbean ingredients. Home-made clam chowder, pan-seared fish or broiled medallions of pork, are just a few of the delights in store.

The Manager’s cocktail party and weekly Caribbean buffets combine with the regular evening entertainment to create a uniquely sociable ambience.
