Description
A waterfront town house in East Caribbean Village Condominium situated on Rodney Bay Lagoon and a two minute walk to the beach. The condo has three bedrooms: two with air conditioning and ceiling fans, third with ceiling fan. Beds: one king-size, one queen-size, two twins. Also, spare fold-up. Two bathrooms, one en-suite with capacious shower and his and hers wash-basins, and the second with bath and shower. The master bedroom has a deep, roofed balcony with hammock, overlooks the lagoon and has views of the hills beyond.
The cool spacious living/dining room opens onto the patio, separated by low fencing and shrubs from the wide condominium garden which is adorned by tropical trees and bushes.
A breakfast bar separates the living room from the well-equipped kitchen, adjacent to which is a utility room for washing, drying and storage. Ventilation throughout is affected by "jalousies," traditional horizontal wooden shutters set in the walls.
The garden borders the lagoon and has its own boardwalk and jetties. A little ferry runs from its adjacent berth to Pigeon Island. The Marina is on the lagoon's opposite shore, a couple of minutes away by water taxi and five minutes by car. As well as a full range of boating facilities the Marina has a useful selection of small shops, banks and restaurants.
The property is located in the heart of Rodney Bay Village, the prime restaurant, shopping and entertainment area of St. Lucia, and is a two minute walk from Reduit Beach, one of the island's best beaches. A wide range of water sports is available there. Beauty treatments and massages are offered by Pearl at Harmony Suites hotel next door, where Frogs Scuba diving school and The Edge, probably the finest restaurant in the area, are to be found.
Pigeon Island, a venue of St Lucia Jazz Festival in May, and Beausejour are close by, and the island’s capital city, Castries, where Carnival is celebrated in July, is seven miles away. Don't forget the Friday night 'jump up' (street party) in neighbouring Gros Islet.
