Description
Perched atop Little Zion Hill overlooking Apple Bay, Tortola Adventure is a new property completed in early 2006. Sited on Long Bay ridge, offering a 270 degree view encompassing the developing upper reachesof Long Bay on Benjamin Hill at the top of Long Bay Ridge, the beach at Long Bay, distant St. Thomas, Jost Van Dyke, Apple Bay (home to world famous Bomba Shack), and on to Carrot and Cane Garden Bays and Sage Mountain in the east.
Designed for casual simplicity, the main living space is on the upper level. The three sections of this floor have double bi-fold doors that can be secured open to reveal the fabulous ocean views seen from the wrap around deck. This airy space incorporates a center living room with dining area and fully equipped kitchen to your right. To your left are a full bath and a living space that can be used to expand your seating and entertainment area or used as a third sleeping area with a queen sized futon sleep sofa. Sit in the chaise and read a book or fall asleep to the cooling tradewinds. Relax at the alfresco dining set as you watch the sun set over Long Bay. Wake up mornings and check out the surf at Apple Bay or beach and swimming conditions at Long Bay or Sebastians beach front.
At the garage ground level find a quiet queen bedroom with full bath and laundry. This bedroom also has double bi-fold doors opening onto a covered ocean view deck. There are additional outside showers for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The infinity edge dipping pool is elevated providing a natural Caribbean mosaic with wonderful eye level views joining pool, sea and sky in changing sun cast shades of blue and turquoise.
Downstairs at the "Rumpus Room" you will find a secluded bedroom with king bed, full bath and another outside "beach" shower. This room has screened shutters that also open to the ocean with a great view of Apple Bay and beyond.
Ten-foot ceilings throughout and natural ventilation from surrounding wall to wall screened window louvers make "Tortola Adventure" very breezy. Ceiling fans throughout provide added ventilation options. A parking garage/carport and large outdoor parking area provide uncharacteristic easy access in and out of our driveway. And, there is plenty of room for any surfing and beach gear.
