Baraka Point has a full gourmet kitchen including 2 fridges & 2 freezers, a professional range, warming drawer, ice machine, Italian ice cream maker, outdoor Italian wood-burning pizza oven, built-in outdoor grill, stainless steel appliances, cooking equipment AND, best of all, two chefs to do all the work!
Baraka Point has 3 ocean view Master Suites with a central sleeping area, sitting room & separate dressing area; all are luxuriously appointed and off limits to children (with the exception of infants in cribs). Baraka Point has 2 ocean view Family Suites with a king bed in the central sleeping area and 2 adjoining twin bedrooms. Parents share their en-suite with their children.
Baraka Point employs 7 full time dedicated staff. Our spa therapist & yoga/Pilates instructor also does personal training and adventure programs for our guests. Our butler (we prefer the term Villa Assistant or Concierge) is also our water sports man who takes guests out on our ski boat and arranges excursions & activities for adults & children. Spa treatements, yoga and personal training, and some water sports are an extra cost, prices vary by treatment/activity. Meals cooked by Baraka Point's two chefs are an extra charge. Staff provide 5 star service and endeavour to be attentive but discreet.
Fishing, diving, sailing, power boat charters, day trips, etc., can all be arranged by Baraka Point's Concierge. Spa treatments in Baraka Point's Balinese Spa Pavilion, yoga & Pilates classes, and personal training in the gym are all arranged with our Spa Therapist, Kim. These services are available exclusively to our guests so NO APPOINTMENTS necessary, which only adds to the sense of relaxation! Water sports on Baraka Point's ski boat (water-skiing, wakeboarding, kite surfing, chair surfing, donuting and tubing) are available-just ask Alex or Aaron. Guided adventure programs (hikes, bouldering, kayaking, etc.) can be arranged with Kim and are at an extra charge. Guided children's activities at Baraka Point (treasure hunts, beach olympics, arts & crafts, Playstation etc.) and in the Kids Club House are free of charge.
At Baraka Point we believe our guests’ main priority is to relax and enjoy their time at the property to the fullest. Cooking for a large group of people after a hard day at the beach takes time and a great deal of effort. So to make sure you spend your vacation doing the things you would rather be doing, Baraka Point has two full time chefs; one from New Zealand and the other from Canada, as well as a dedicated service team who bring fine dining right to the table for you.
Our chefs cook to your tastes and specifications; they can make recommendations; or they can surprise you! All the food at Baraka Point is homemade daily using the freshest possible ingredients. We cater for families with young children with our kiddie meals, gastronomes wanting gourmet fine dining, guests who prefer to keep it casual, and those with health considerations or special diets they are adhering to. Nothing is too much trouble, so please don’t hesitate to tell us about your dining needs. Although we cannot offer full a la carte dining to large groups, we can accommodate most special requests should someone in your group not be able or willing to eat what the rest of the group is having. We also offer a great deal of variety in terms of the dishes served (see our list of sample dishes for ideas) so you have plenty of choice throughout your stay.
Pricing for meals at Baraka Point in extra and includes all ingredients, full restaurant style table service and clearing up so you needn’t lift a finger at meal times. Menus can be set prior to your arrival or you can discuss the day’s options with the chef in the morning, thus making meal times a straight forward affair. Just let us know what you want to eat, when you want to eat, and choose where you want to dine from a number of areas on the property and we’ll take care of the rest!
To get to Baraka Point from the USA, we HIGHLY recommend that our guests travel DIRECTLY to Virgin Gorda from San Juan, Puerto Rico or St Thomas, USVI by private charter flight or commercial Air Sunshine flight. This avoids delays and lost luggage when clients fly from San Juan to Beef Island/Tortola on Liat or American Eagle.
From St Thomas clients also have the option of a private water taxi (Dohm’s Water Taxis) or a private power boat charter. See below for details.
If clients prefer to travel by commercial aircraft to Beef Island/Tortola they can either take the North Sound Express Airport Ferry (which is often delayed) OR can book a private charter boat to collect them, which we strongly recommend.
